Farm in the City.
We are Rick and Heather Phillips of Little Sprouts Urban Farm in far Northern California. Rick is is a realtor-turned-sales/ delivery boss/ micro-manager at the farm and Gather Market. Heather was a full-time American Sign Language interpreter -turned- urban farmer.
We have been growing together as long as we have known each other, but it seemed as though our efforts to grow a life together had us spending too much time apart. The farm has been a way that we have been able to provide for our family while spending more time together.
We have been able to show our children (the little sprouts who are the ultimate inspiration for everything we do) what it really means to work hard and nourish others.
